High School football season is over now and we finished, well, last in our region. Do not be deceived though. Chandler was still ranked the number one receiver in our region and was awarded MVP on our team. We are curious to see if they will leave him as receiver next year or move him to QB. We have a new coach next year so we don't know what to expect.
Chandler continues to be my number one support person. He takes me to work in the early morning, then gets all the girls off to school, and then picks me up from work after practice each day. The girls get frustrated because of his overprotective, big brother nature. There are some boys that won't even step foot in our neighborhood after a little chat with big brother. I really don't know what I would do without him.
Blaire is, at the moment, doing very well in school. She is the most willing to help out around the house and tries hard to please people. She loves to exercise and jumps on the trampoline for 1-2 hours a day sometimes. She has her own sense of style and refuses to get caught up in what "everyone else is wearing". Some highlights of her "fashion experiments" this year were her mohawk, her rasta hat complete with dreadlocks, and her red and black zebra skinny jeans. She is very photogenic and I think she should be a model. She took a ballroom dance class earlier this year and quite enjoyed it. Her teacher has moved though so we are trying to find another one.
Meredith is our resident gymnast. She loves gymnastics but has decided not to move into the competitive level because of the time and money commitment which would disable her from participating in any other hobbies. So she continues on a recreational level 5 team. She works at her gym to pay for her own tuition. Her team sport of choice is Lacrosse. She scores in most games. She will probably play for the high school next year.
Olivia, Olivia, Olivia.....what to say about Olivia? She has more energy than all of us put together. She is on a competitive cheer team and is in cheerleading heaven, if there is such a thing. She made the advanced team this year on which most of the girls are 12-15. Olivia, 9 years, is a "flier" and loves it. They are traveling to Anaheim this year to compete in March. She cheers all day long, at home, at recess, any chance she gets. She has become a good little tumbler and can do back handsprings and back tucks. How do they do that? She is completely enjoyable to be with and everyone loves her.
I am enjoying my nursing job in labor and delivery and have just taken a second job in a newborn ICU to make ends meet. I am excited about my new adventure but heartbroken to leave my kids even more. They are tough kids and all mature beyond their years, probably because they just had no choice but to step up. I am thankful that they are so capable. I still enjoy scrapbooking but do it very little. I also enjoy my workouts at the gym but have a feeling that they will become more scarce when I start my other job. Right now, I am feeling grateful that I can get 2 jobs.

Jae, you are amazing. You stepped up to the plate your whole life and taught your kids that same strength. Their time is filled with positive experiences and you have made it possible! I am proud of you and the kids. Keep on sharing!
